DESCRIPTION:Frenzal Rhomb’s Sans Souci turns 23 – and we’re celebrating! \nHere at Frenzal Rhomb\, the number 23 has always been important to us. 23 pairs of human chromosomes\, William Burroughs’ 23 enigma\, Psalm 23 in the bible\, “the Lord is my shepherd”; we’ve always been big with shepherds. \nActually\, that’s all nonsense\, we just missed the 20th\, and the world may not make it until the 25th\, so this year we’re celebrating the 23rd anniversary of Sans Souci! \nThe difficult sixth album\, Sans Souci saw us back with Camel producer Eddie Ashworth for sixteen sweet servings of shrewd social commentary slid inside some superb punk pop skins\, including the green-tinged morality tale of “Bucket Bong”\, the complicated relationship drama of “I Went Out With A Hippy And Now I Love Everyone Except For Her”\, even trying our hand at sports metal with “Punisher”. \nThere was the Kernaghanesque “Looking Good”\, the Gastro-rock of “Ballchef”\, and that song about Russell Crowe’s band we’ve been advised by our lawyers not to talk about. \nAnd heaps more! And we’re gonna play them all* on the Frenzal Rhomb Sans Souci 23rd Anniversary Tour. A marquee event! And it’s still French for “no worries”. \nGet tickets now before Russell Crowe’s lawyers get back in touch! \n*look we may not make it through the whole album\, and we probably won’t play it in order. So don’t go getting all weird and complain like that one person did on the Camel tour.
