SUMMARY:VOODOO SUNRISE
DESCRIPTION:Voodoo Sunrise weave a psychedelic spell with their tribute to late 60s supergroups Jimi Hendrix Experience\, the Band of Gypsys and Cream on Friday 11th of September at Bunbury’s The Prince of Wales Hotel! FREE EVENT\nJimi Hendrix and Cream were champions of the psychedelic rock era. The music was at the forefront of western societies’ expanding consciousness. Young people were questioning the social norms and shackles of the day; throwing off the shackles of blindly following authority into purposeless wars and freeing themselves from the capitalist machine. The music told this story\, and was shaped by a use of traditional and new psychedelics which allowed people become aware of\, and free themselves from their social conditioning to find a more authentic way of being.\nWhile the music of both Hendrix and Cream had deep roots in the blues\, the music was changing. The electric guitar was played as it had never been played before\, with guitarists taking wild flights\, bouyed by effects such as overdrive\, wah and feedback to new heights. The electric bass was louder than ever\, and could hold its own as a groups singular supportive harmonic instrument\, allowing for freedom of improvisation and expression. All this noise and power gave drummers free rein to dive into the energy\, adding excitement with pounding on-the-edge rhythms.\nRoss Dwyer sings through his electric guitar\, putting his own spin on the work of guitar legends Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Paul Meyers on drums holds down a solid rhythm while embodying the expressivity of Mitch Mitchell and Ginger Baker and the driving funk of Buddy Miles. David Rastrick on vocals and electric bass guitar drives the groove\, building on the bass prowess of Noel Redding\, Billy Cox and Jack Bruce\, while building on the vocal stylings of Hendrix\, Clapton and Bruce.\nYou’ll here timeless classics like Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)\, Purple Haze\, Sunshine of Your Love\, White Room\, Foxey Lady and so many more Hendrix and Cream centrepieces.\nJoin Voodoo Sunrise’s Hendrix and Cream tribute from 9 p.m. Friday 11th of September at The Prince of Wales Hotel\, Goomburrup – Bunbury\, Western Australia

SUMMARY:JANIS JOPLIN by KARISE EDEN
DESCRIPTION:Following two sold-out premiere performances in Melbourne\, ARIA Award winner Karise Eden begins the national rollout of Tell Mama! – Janis Joplin by Karise Eden\, with three Western Australian dates this October.\nPresented by RoadTales\, this powerful new concert experience will head to Freo Social (October 1)\, Kalamunda Theatre (October 2) and the Prince Hotel Bunbury (October 3)\, with tickets for all Western Australian performances to go on sale Friday July 10 at 8.00am AWST.\nSince helping redefine rock more than half a century ago\, Janis Joplin has never stopped finding new audiences. In Tell Mama!\, Karise Eden revives the songs\, spirit and extraordinary legacy of one of rock’s most unforgettable voices in a powerful live concert experience.\nRather than an impersonation\, Tell Mama! is Karise’s deeply personal interpretation of the artist whose music has shaped her own journey. With storytelling woven throughout\, the show begins with an intimate acoustic set inspired by Janis’s early folk-blues recordings before building into a full-band celebration featuring guitar\, bass\, drums\, keys and a three-piece horn section.\nAudiences can expect iconic anthems including Piece of My Heart\, Cry Baby\, Move Over\, Try (Just a Little Bit Harder) and Me and Bobby McGee\, alongside lesser-known gems that reveal Janis’s remarkable artistry. The show also features Karise’s original song\, Tomorrow\, inspired by Janis’s Kozmic Blues\, creating a moving bridge between two artists united by fearless emotional honesty.“I never wanted this to feel like a traditional Janis Joplin tribute\,” says Eden.\n“I wanted people to feel Janis’s influence throughout the show while still very clearly seeing me inside it too. It’s not costume or impersonation. It’s about honouring the emotional honesty and fearless spirit that drew me to her music in the first place.\nFollowing its sold-out premiere performance at Memo Music Hall and currently with just a few tickets left at Karralyka Theatre\, Tell Mama! now begins its national rollout in Western Australia\, introducing audiences to a concert that celebrates the enduring influence of one of music’s most iconic artists through the unmistakable voice of Karise Eden.

SUMMARY:FRENZAL RHOMB'S Sans Souci turns 23
DESCRIPTION:Frenzal Rhomb’s Sans Souci turns 23 – and we’re celebrating! \nHere at Frenzal Rhomb\, the number 23 has always been important to us. 23 pairs of human chromosomes\, William Burroughs’ 23 enigma\, Psalm 23 in the bible\, “the Lord is my shepherd”; we’ve always been big with shepherds. \nActually\, that’s all nonsense\, we just missed the 20th\, and the world may not make it until the 25th\, so this year we’re celebrating the 23rd anniversary of Sans Souci! \nThe difficult sixth album\, Sans Souci saw us back with Camel producer Eddie Ashworth for sixteen sweet servings of shrewd social commentary slid inside some superb punk pop skins\, including the green-tinged morality tale of “Bucket Bong”\, the complicated relationship drama of “I Went Out With A Hippy And Now I Love Everyone Except For Her”\, even trying our hand at sports metal with “Punisher”. \nThere was the Kernaghanesque “Looking Good”\, the Gastro-rock of “Ballchef”\, and that song about Russell Crowe’s band we’ve been advised by our lawyers not to talk about. \nAnd heaps more! And we’re gonna play them all* on the Frenzal Rhomb Sans Souci 23rd Anniversary Tour. A marquee event! And it’s still French for “no worries”. \nGet tickets now before Russell Crowe’s lawyers get back in touch! \n*look we may not make it through the whole album\, and we probably won’t play it in order. So don’t go getting all weird and complain like that one person did on the Camel tour. We’ll give it all a red hot go though. \nhttps://tickets.oztix.com.au/outlet/event/b9b43349-3bf0-44d6-a74f-be278373c376

DESCRIPTION:TICKETS ON SALE 9AM MONDAY 4 MAY> https://tickets.oztix.com.au/…/dee3e3f5-e982-4d16-95f5…\nPerth’s very own tribute supergroup INFATUATION JUNKIES are head over feet to announce they’re heading to THE PRINCE OF WALES in BUNBURY for very first time on SATURDAY 21 NOVEMBER 2026 for their annual ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTE of Alanis Morissette’s seminal 1995 album “JAGGED LITTLE PILL”\, performing the 90s classic in full including the hit singles “You Oughta Know”\, “Ironic”\, “Hand In My Pocket” and “You Learn”\, and a selection of Alanis Morissette fan faves!\n‘Jagged Little Pill\,’ the era-defining international debut album she thrust upon the world… on June 13\, 1995\, wasn’t some act of calculated alt-rock reinvention. Rather\, it was a product of growing up. (Kenneth Partridge\, Billboard 6 December 2015)\nJagged Little Pill seemingly appeared overnight. What was remarkable about its unimaginable success was its relaxed and humble genesis. Alanis Morissette\, a 21-year-old Canadian dance-pop singer\, hooked up with Glen Ballard\, fresh from producing/writing with Michael Jackson and Paula Abdul\, and 13 days later\, a multimillion-selling\, Grammy-grabbing album was written. (Tim Batcup\, Loundersound.com – 2 October 2015)\nAlanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill was pretty much a smash from the start: Though it debuted at no. 117 on the Billboard 200\, it bounded into the top 10 within six weeks (largely on the back of its lead single “You Oughta Know\,” already a smash at modern rock radio) and ascended to the top spot by the end of September. Jagged Little Pill ultimately stayed on the chart for a staggering 113 weeks\, sold over 33 million units worldwide\, and turned Morissette into a household name. (Lucy Jones\, NME – 1 May 2024)\n“Ironic\,” the disc’s famously irony-free third single\, reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100\, continuing a hot streak that had begun with the gutsy scorned-woman rager “You Oughta Know” (long rumoured to be about Dave “Uncle Joey” Coulier) and the more subdued\, hopeful “Hand in My Pocket.” Two more smashes — “You Learn” and “Head Over Feet” — followed\, making Jagged Little Pill one of those albums like Joshua Tree or Born In the U.S.A.\, where practically every track is a single\, and they’re all pretty distinct. (Kenneth Partridge\, Billboard 6 December 2015)\nCome celebrate Alanis Morissette’s all-time classic 90s album with the INFATUATION JUNKIES at The Prince Of Wales Hotel on Saturday 21 November 2026\, when they perform “JAGGED LITTLE PILL” live\, and in full.\nINFATUATION JUNKIES – ALANIS MORISSETTE TRIBUTE are:\nTANYA AQUINO (Hyndesight & Formerly Heart Of Glass) – Lead VocalsMIKEY WIEGELE (Arizona Bayswater & White Pony) – Bass & Backup VocalsTIM WIEGELE (Cougar Camp & Renegades Of Rock) – DrumsCHRIS SAMAKOVIDIS (Scar Tissue) – Guitar & Backup VocalsMASON VELLIOS (Millhouse & Velvet Duo) – Multi-Instrumentalist & Backup Vocals
